Mossel Bay is not a large city. Most areas are fairly central, but I have listed the areas where most Mossel Bay hotels are located. I also provide a brief description of each area.
Mossel Bay Central
Mossel Bay Central is where all the action happens. It is the busiest area in Mossel Bay and can be noisy at night. It is close to many of the popular sights and restaurants, but the prices of hotels in the area are still very reasonable.
Dana Bay
Dana Bay is a settlement forming part of the Mossel Bay municipal area. It is located about five kilometres from Mossel Bay. Dana Bay is a conservancy with examples of coastal and limestone varieties of the South African fynbos. This area does not have any of its own sights, restaurants or shops.
Santos Beach
Santos Beach is a blue flag beach in Mossel Bay. It is a popular beach throughout the year due to Mossel Bay’s mild climate. During peak seasons lifeguards are on duty daily to make sure everyone is safe. Live entertainment and other fun activities are offered during peak times to keep people of all ages busy. Santos Beach is popular with families.
Vyf Brakke Fonteinen
Vyf Brakke Fonteinen is located between Mossel Bay and the next town called Hartenbos. It is not far from Mossel Bay’s city centre and Langebaan Mall with several restaurants.
