Welcome to Focused Travels!
If you are a part-time traveller, you know what it’s like to want to travel and see as much as possible within the limited number of leave days. Limited leave days and budget mean we must plan carefully to explore a destination fully.
That is why I created Focused Travels – your time and money are precious, but you still want to see as many sights as possible for as little money when visiting your own or a foreign country. Planning your trip and making all the arrangements can overwhelm you, which is why I provide practical tips to make it easier.
I am Sunelle, from Johannesburg, South Africa. I am a full-time professional in the financial services sector. Although I find my job challenging and rewarding, I also love getting away from it all to explore local and international destinations. I love experiencing new things and exploring new places after work, during work trips and on holidays.
This is why I started Focused Travels. Since I work full-time and can only travel part-time, I need to maximize my time and money for my travels.
What you will find on the Focused Travels blog
I started this blog for several reasons. Initially, it was purely for keeping a record of my travels and keeping my friends and family up-to-date with what I have been up to. Since I plan all my trips (local and international) myself from beginning to end, I have learned some valuable lessons along the way and wanted to share our experiences with others.
Through this blog, I hope to guide those part-time travellers who feel overwhelmed when they have to plan a trip themselves. My blog posts include stories, tips, resources and review covering:
