Wengen is a small village in the Jungrau region of Switzerland and overlooks the Lauterbrunnen region of Switzerland. It is one of the closest small towns to the Kleine Scheidegg station where you board the train to the Jungfraujoch. From Wengen to the Kleine Scheidegg station takes only 30 minutes by train.
Victoria-Lauberhorn hotel in Wengen
I have written about our stay at the Arena Resort Victoria-Lauberhorn in Wengen, near the Jungfraujoch. At the time we booked our stay at this hotel, it was one of the best options available. It is a large hotel with friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. We did miss air conditioning, but the hotel is located about 10 metres from the train station, which is convenient for taking the train to Kleine Scheidegg early in the morning.

Hotel Silberhorn for visiting the Jungfraujoch
The hotel is a somewhat pricier hotel than the Victoria-Lauberhorn hotel. It is also located near the Wengen train station which makes it convenient for getting to Jungfraujoch. It does offer excellent amenities, including a hot tub, a fitness centre, solarium, mini golf, a steam room, billiards, tennis and table tennis. The hotel offers a range of rooms from twin rooms to quadruple rooms. Breakfast is included and guests rates the hotel’s facilities as excellent.

The third hotel in Wengen that is perfect for visiting the Jungfraujoch is the Hotel Bellevue-Wengen. It offers twin or double rooms, some with balconies and mountain views. It is conveniently located just over 500 metres from the Wengen train station. Interlaken is the furthest of the three areas considered in this, but but it is picturesque and offers many other activities to do as well. Getting to the Jungfraujoch from Interlakenill take approximately 90 minutes, so don’t leave too late!
